For a monthly fee of R50 the children of the parents, guardians and grandparents working and learning in the centre, as well as the youth from the surrounding area, receive a cooked meal each day and are cared for and learn basic skills in our day care. We also provide an after school program.

Our goal is to provide the community’s children with a solid foundation before they start Grade 1. Our teachers provide learning skills in line with Grade R objectives as well as using interactive learning circles for them to know God and his teachings. Helping them grow and develop not only mentally but spiritually as well.

Our classes are run completely through volunteers and donated material, therefore any craft materials or old books and toys are always greatly welcomed and provide such joy to our children. Any donations can please be dropped off directly at our school or New Harvest Christian Centre.

To see our kids learn and grow is extremely rewarding and at the end of last year 2 of our learners were able to read and write proficiently before they started school this year – a fantastic achievement indeed and we love passing on these skills to more children.
