Welcome to West Rand Christian Centre. Our aim is to care for others by sharing the Gospel and offering encouragement and practical assistance to our community in a safe place away from the harsh realities of unemployment, physical and substance abuse and poverty.
The Centre started over 30 years ago when a small group of compassionate women met in a room in Florida in order to reach out to those in need. From humble beginnings the Centre now operates from 6 houses in Montclare, Johannesburg.
Through projects designed to help unemployed individuals build and experience positive relationships while being taught to sew, knit, cook, clean and garden, we help them regain their dignity and become confident, productive members of society.
What you give is all we have as we are fully reliant on donations. The Centre is run by volunteers who take a keen interest in the well being of each individual. Every donation is used for the direct benefit of the people. Anything you can spare we greatly appreciate.
